historical spanish snuff

As far as I can tell Seville had a famous tobacco factory known for its "polvo sevillano". In contrast rape was darker and coarser made in Paris while the spanish was golden and fine. Thought what the Bergamot/Citrus came from I have no idea if indeed SP stands for Spanish. This info is in Seville, Cordoba and Granada: A cultural history by Elizabeth Nash.
