  • @anewamericansnuffer For what it's worth, I think my package shipped on the 19th and didn't get here till yesterday. US customs are a lot less finicky than Canadian, so I wouldn't worry too much about that. It's just a patience game!
  • Toque Almond Toast with coffee! I'm in love :x
  • Scratch the bedtime bit -- stayed up getting to know Toque Natural Toast. Reminds me of Mackintosh toffees!
  • Is there a metallic smell to this? I'd be worried about it tarnishing and giving my snuff a weird odor. If this isn't an issue, I might end up grabbing a few for myself!
  • Mine happened to arrive today too! Canada Post didn't want either of us to be jealous of the other. You've got a lot more self-control than I do... when I receive a new order I'm like a kid in a candy shop. Gotta check out all the new smells!
  • Thor's Hammer. Makes a lovely bedtime bonk.
  • Kicking off the day with Irish 22
  • @Tobaccoman Off the top of my head, I think all the popular snuff vendors ship via couriers that hand it over to Canada Post once it hits our border. Might be worth making a quick dummy order to test it out though. If you run out of options, I think…
  • Update -- mixed Toque Rustica and Elmo's Reserve at roughly 1:2 ratio. This stuff is wild! I figured Uncle Squinty's "nose throb" was the closest I'd get to a buzz from snuff. Lo and behold, I'm floating on a nicotine cloud right now, lol. This stuf…
  • Most of my collection is split between pungent florals, rich tobaccos, and toasts, so I tend to just use toasts whenever I'm introducing another flavour into the mix. They seem to play well with just about everything.
  • @Tobaccoman I've never ordered from Snuffstore, but my orders from Toque and Mr. Snuff normally end up taking about a month to arrive, maybe slightly longer. On the bright side, I've never had a Toque package get dinged by Customs, so the extra wait…
  • Irish D for me! Buttery goodness.
  • @volunge Thanks for the tip! Looking forward to experimenting with this later.
  • Currently waiting on: 3 x Wilsons Irish No. 22 25g1 x Toque Lime Toast 25g1 x Toque Almond Toast 25g2 x Toque Ambrosia 25g1 x Toque Natural Toast 25g1 x Viking Thor's Hammer 25g1 x White Horse White 40g All new for me except the Irish 22 -- original…
  • When I was first getting into snuff it bugged me to read the "everyone is different" replies, but experience has only confirmed it for me. Toque Rustica doesn't do much for me either, nor does White Elephant... and yet stuff like SG Elmo's Reserve g…
  • F&T Morlaix for me today. There's a certain note in this one that I will never get tired of... Maybe it's neroli, since I get the same note from Seville, but it feels somehow a lot "cleaner" in the Morlaix. So powdery and refreshing. (My family …
  • I understand your struggle. I paid $36 for a can of Copenhagen once, lol. One thing to look out for: many gas stations (in my area of BC at least) stock a couple kinds of General snus. Around here it's about $25 for 24 pouches, or $40 for 48 pouches…
  • I've only tried a small handful, but the Gawith Hoggarth SP tops my list. Easy to take a whole ton of it, plus the scent is light and refreshing enough that I never get sick of it. Kinda reminds me of the way Fresca tastes, actually.
  • The actual snufftaking bit is not so huge a concern for me -- I like to think I pinch pretty discreetly anyway. But the amount of tissues I go through at home always leaves me wondering: how did the nobility of olde deal with all the mess back in th…
  • I've not branched too far out in the toast department, but what I've found so far is that each has its own place. HDT is very delicate and subtle with a bit of leather... but can sometimes be a bit too subtle, and I have to focus in order to detect …
  • As much as I would love to make snuff my main habit, I've found it to be one of the least convenient forms of tobacco to use in public (aside from dip, lol). The mess, the snot, the assumptions of others... at this point I've settled on keeping snuf…
  • @volunge Didn't mean to criticize, if that's what you're getting at -- I've had nothing but good experiences with Mr. Snuff. If anything, I imagine this kind of inventory confusion starts with the manufacturers... companies like SG and GH aren't exa…
  • @volunge Thanks for the suggestion, adding the MG Madras to my list. The Indians I've tried (Dholakia Super Strong Toast, 41P W. Elephant) have not done too much for me, though this is probably more due to my technique and the dusty grind of those s…
  • I talked with Jamie from Mr. Snuff about this issue last week. The response boiled down to: "They are same snuff but different manufacturers and a slight different in taste." I thought she meant that there were multiple mills making the same snuff..…
  • @ar47 Maybe the only tobacco-related benefit to living in Canada: dip prices are so high that it's impossible to go off the deep end! Around here it's pretty common to see a can of Copenhagen fetch $36. If I had USA prices, I'd probably be swimming …
  • Greetings from Canada! Online I like to go by my confirmation name, Ioannes. I've been lurking here for a couple months and have already learned a ton from you guys. I've only been into snuff for a short time -- I started with pipe smoking, then…
