I figured since this is such an international group, it might be interesting to see what people in other countries drive. Also, this is a mostly male forum...
Also, I just fixed up my jeep and i have no where to "show it off" since I usually drive my scooter!

This is a 2007 Jeep wrangler. All the chrome bits you see are aftermarket. I've added a few things since this pic, but you get the idea.

  • The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • On land I drive a bicycle. It has outstanding gas mileage. :-D
On sea, I drive whatver they hire me to (a pic of one in the J&H Wilson's post a couple days ago)
  • 1990 Peugeot 205 GTI 1.6. Fast, light, nimble, nice condition and no power steering. Perfect.
  • I was hoping to see some pics. Don't see too many peugeots over here.

it's not the exact model but pretty similar:
I burn more rubber than most people i know ... the hardcore way.
  • I bet you get good gas mileage out of that too, Jack! :-D

I drive a 1998 Ford Mondeo LX and a 2005 Ford Bantam 1.6 XLT pickup. The Bantam was designed and is built in SA and I doubt whether any of the members has seen it yet. It's on the same principle as Ford Ranchero and Chevy El Camino where a car has been converted into a pickup. Ford SA converted a Ford Ikon into a ½ton pickup. It's a luxury vehicle with aircon, power steering, CD player etc and I love driving it. The loadbody is cover with a glassfiber lid which opens up like the bootlid of a car.
And then, of course, I have my FELT Virtue Two mountain bike which is my pride and joy. Tomorrow I'm going to ride it in the world's biggest mountain bike event, The Cape Argus Pick & Pay Mountain Bike Challenge. The riders are LIMITED to 4500 !!! There will be lots of overseas riders and this will be my third time round. Will tell you tomorrow how it went.

    Good luck Pieter!
@Xander: you can be sure of that , although this whole friction thing is bogging me down quit a bit :-D.
That being said i have no permit .It's $350 to get driving school done over here and i just don't have that amount of cash laying around.
  • My speed demon is a 2004 Suzuki Alto, 1.1 Litre :p
  • Hey me and jack have similar rides. The best part is you can fuel them babies with almost any type of organic material meats, breads, potatoes, and even vegetables!
  • Had a child recently so had to trade in my little 2 seater convertible for a 2009 Scion Xb.

  • Ive got a 96 Honda civic. Paid 1500 for it 6 years ago. Best car purchase Ive ever made. If I had to guess its got about 200k miles, not sure cause the odometer died at 176k! I'm hoping it lasts until I graduate college next year.
  • Miamimark, I will post some pictures tomorrow of my Peugeot 205 GTI. I don't know if any were exported to the US. I certainly didn't spot any when I was in New England in 1995. I learn't to drive in one in 1992 and have driven them off and on since. I love them!

miamimark, will that jeep of yours ever see dirt?

Well I have jeeps. They are a good choice for the area I live. And I also do a lot of off-road driving, rock crawling etc. And they get me to the more remote areas to prospect.

Here is a pic of the 97 Wrangler before I changed out the fenders, bigger tires & little lift.

Here is the jeep on a day trip with some friends. You can see the fenders have been changed. And the next is with the homemade push bar/bumper

This is how its set up for summer with tube doors and bikini top.........................

And then this 97 Cherokee that is going to be set up as a dedicated off road vehicle. The first pic is the jeep at the family ranch and the second is both jeeps as I tackle the snow right before Christmas.

And then just for fun, my Honda 350 ATC with my flamed out tank.

Now that's a jeep! No, mine doesn't see any dirt here in Miami, it's not even 4 wheel drive! I only got the tubular bumpers because i kept denting the stock plasitc ones and i got tired of having them fixed. Once i saw how the stainless looked I kept adding more. It's all just for show...
  • Currently I drive a 2001 Ford Focus, but my favorite car was my 1979 Ford Thunderbird. I wish I hadn't sold the thing, but it was running pretty bad, and 8 MPG isn't quite ideal. If I ever get my scanner to work again I'll get a pic posted.

I currently drive a yellow 2007 Isuzu i-290 pickup that everybody thinks is a chevy. Isuzu makes them for GM under the name Colorado and Canyon. As long as we are talking favorites, I had a 455 1976 Trans Am just like the car in th 1st Smokey and the Bandit movie. I was the top predator on the street with it in 1983 in high school. 12 sec. 1/4mi. and top end of about 170mph those were the days.
  • As promised a picture of my 1990 Peugeot 205 gti. Nothing fancy, just an unmolested good old fashioned hot hatch that takes me back to my youth.
  • Lotus Elise for track events. 190 bhp conversion by Bell & Colvill. 190 bhp might not sound huge, but on a car weighing about two ounces it makes it fast - very fast.

@sandy130674: Congrats,I always fancy a 205 GTI,one of the guys in my tonw has it,but it doesn't seem in a very good condition.
I'm currently driving my dads Kia Spectra '04 1.4 CRDI 102 HP

The 250 gti reminds me of a smaller version of the AMC Gremlin. Only I think the one in the top pic here will go faster. Nice clean/sharp cars you guys have there. But I would need that bottom 4x4 Gremlin where I live. Cars are not the most practical thing here especially during winter.

I drive a 2005 Dodge Dakota. It's black, pretty basic.
  • Fiat Panda 1999, white. Sometimes Fiat Ducato 1.2 jtd, or volkswagen transporter 1.5 "4motion" ambulances
  • LOL, I drive a 1984 F-150,step side, rusted to hell, baby blue, leans to one side, but runs like a champ...
His name is Henry and he's older than i am. :) I will try and post a pic if i get time it will be well worth it for you guys to see.
  • nothing wrong with a strong running ranch truck
  • I drive a 99 BMW 323i. Nothing special, but rides like its on glass. I love it. Ill have to see if i can find some pix of it...
  • I drive a 2005 Cadillac Escalade.
I love it. Rides high and smooth like a Cadillac.
