@basement_shaman I see you have been into a lot of C&D blends lately. A line I have not explored too deeply yet, how are they so far?

@J_S they were on special this month at smoking pipes 20% off; decided to try some. I found some keepers .they are quite moist out of the bag but burn fairly well.. Great bargain this month. I got a variety of burley virginia perique latakia mixes. I am not to keen on stanhope, squadron leader is better. but I liked all I tried so far. I also got some straight burley virginia perique latakia tobaccos for blending. Be quick if you're getting some, the month is just about up. http://www.smokingpipes.com/tobacco/by-maker/cornell-diehl/bulk/index.cfm. I am on a fixed income and I just had to jump at this sale. It will be some time before I get to spend any funds on my hobby.

  • Yesterday (Saturday) turned into a busy day; I had a fine bowl of Dunhill Royal Yacht in a Parker Yacht in the morning whilst strolling around town to the tobacconist et al. In the evening my wife and I when out to see some old friends and I took my new GBD 50's calabash filled with Dunhill Durbar which was a charming smoke as always, and lasted late into the evening with a little nursing :-)

Not completely decided on this mornings pipe yet...
